The rail will run from Belgrade to Budapest. There will be 350km of refurbished, which entails reconstruction, modernization, and construction of a double-track railway, for speeds of up to 200km/h. 166 km of the track will be on the Hungarian side and will enable Serbia and Hungary to become major transit nations.
The project is part of the Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) + 1 (China) initiative.
