LAX Terminal 2 and 3 Modernization Project (Delta Sky Way)

LAX Terminal 2 and 3 Modernization Project (Delta Sky Way)

United States

Update:
Nov 2020 - Delta, LAX accelerated the terminal transformation by 18 months. Lower passenger volumes at LAX and throughout the U.S. are allowing for the temporary closure of Terminal 3 and the acceleration of the project, making it possible for the facility to open in mid-2023, instead of late 2024.

The Delta Air Lines Terminal 2 and 3 Modernization Project at Los Angeles International Airport, “Delta Sky Way at LAX” is a $1.9 billion, 658,000 SF, two-phase modernization project that enables co-location with airline partners in Terminals 2, 3, and the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT).

Construction began on Terminals 2 and 3 in April 2019 and is expected to be completed in December 2023.

The Delta Sky Way project is part of the $14 billion LAX Modernization Program that will see LAX transformed in advance of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles
